Bestselling Author Speaks at Maeser

Jason F. Wright shared his inspiring message about the power of kindness with students and staff at Maeser Elementary School on Thursday. Wright is a bestselling author whose books include Christmas Jars, The Wednesday Letters, and See, Love, Lift — How Seeing, Loving and Lifting Others Will Change Your Life.

Wright involved students in his presentation, having them act out a situation from his youth where an 8th grader's act of kindness made a real difference in his life. It was a great assembly filled with lots of laughter and a positive message. Photos from the assembly can be found at https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjAivfR.

Story Weavers Perform at Eagle View

The Story Weavers from Hale Centre Theatre visited Eagle View Elementary this morning for a pair of performances. Their first performance was "The Ugly Duckling." Their second one was "Treasure Island." Several students got the chance to come on stage and help act out the stories.

Each performance helped the students identify positive behaviors they can model. The actors also talked with the students about storytelling in all its different forms. Photos from the performances can be found at https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjAixnE.
