This is the image for the news article titled Weekly District Update - Sept. 16, 2022The Uintah School Board met Wednesday night at the district office for its regularly scheduled work session and business meeting. Video of the meetings can be found on the district's YouTube channel.

An audio recording of the work session can be found HERE. An audio recording of the business meeting can be found HERE.

During its business meeting, the board celebrated the district's students of the month for September. The students are Layla Remington (Central Cove Preschool); Lucius Harris (Ashley Elementary); Eden Grover (Davis Elementary); Davis Reese (Discovery Elementary); Navarrio Warenski (Eagle View Elementary); Alianna Nelson (Lapoint Elementary); Rawley McNaughtan (Maeser Elementary); Katelyn Sorenson (Naples Elementary); Kyle Hunter (Uintah Middle School); Kinsley Bristol (Vernal Middle School); Uzaiah Trujillo (Uintah High); and Charlesia Johnson (Ashley Valley Education Center/Uintah Online).

Congratulations to these outstanding students and thank you to everyone who supports them!

Friday In-Person Learning
Today marked the return of the Friday in-person learning option, following the same schedule the district used during the 2021-2022 school year. Start times and release times for each school can be found HERE.

If you have questions about in-person learning on Fridays, please contact your child's school.

The district is collecting data about the effectiveness of its Friday plan. As part of this process, it is anticipated that the district will survey parents/guardians, students, and district employees to gain input about the current Friday plan.

Once all the data and survey results are compiled, which could take a month or two to complete, the information will be presented to the Uintah School Board in an open meeting. The board will decide whether to continue with the current Friday plan, modify the current plan, or adopt a different plan.

Friday Bus Schedules
There are changes being made to some Friday bus schedules. These are necessary due to the number of new students entering our district and/or to the movement of existing students from one school to another during the summer. Additional changes may be needed over the next few weeks.

To check your student's bus pick-up and/or drop-off time click HERE. Friday schedules for secondary buses show pickup and drop off times. Elementary school pick up times are the same on Friday as they are the rest of the week.

Times posted may vary based on the number of riders. Please have students arrive at their stop 5 minutes ahead of the posted time to ensure they don't miss the bus.
