Weekly District Update - Oct. 27, 2023
The Uintah High School Marching Band and Color Guard are competing tomorrow at the Mt. Timpanogos Invitational at American Fork High School. It’s their final “regular season” competition before they take the field at the Utah Red Rocks State Marching Band Championships on Friday, Nov. 3, in St. George.
The band and color guard will honor their seniors at Coach Belcher Stadium on Wednesday, Nov. 1, at 6 p.m. before performing their show, The Presents. Admission to the Marching Band Review is free. The community is invited to attend.
Afterschool Strength Training Program
The new Afterschool Strength Training Program has gotten off to a great start. The program is for all Uintah School District 7th and 8th graders who are involved in school sports or who plan to play school sports.
Workout sessions will take place Monday-Thursday from 2:40-3:40 p.m. in Building B behind Uintah Middle School. These are structured, supervised workouts. The district is not providing transportation for participants.
Students can get the registration form and waiver at Building B before one of the workout sessions. For more information, please contact Gregg Stensgard at [email protected] or Jon Gorski at [email protected].
